There gravy sauce is one of the sauces for meat simplest and best there is. It is used in America to accompany the stuffed turkey of Thanksgiving Day and it is prepared by thickening butter and flour with the turkey broth itself.
It takes very little time to make it, just what will make it less liquid! I also prepared it on the last Thursday of November (when Thanksgiving is celebrated) and I brought it to the table serving it as an accompaniment to a large 10 kg stuffed turkey. To obtain this sauce, you can also prepare it with the roast cooking juices;)
How to make gravy
In a saucepan, melt the butter with the flour until you get a cream. Heat the turkey cooking juices and add it, a little at a time, to the saucepan over the heat with butter and flour.
Cook, stirring, for about 10 minutes or until it thickens.
Your gravy is ready to be brought to the table.
