The strawberry liqueur it is a delicious after meal with a bright red color. It is prepared by macerating the fruit in alcohol and after 3 weeks, it is combined with one sugar syrup, the time for a stir and voilà, the liqueur is ready!
In this period the strawberries are ripe and sugary at the right point, in addition to using them to make cakes and muffins, I took the opportunity to try my hand, for the first time, in the preparation of this delicious fruity liqueur that I immediately added at home in my alcoholic cabinet. In this way I can serve it at the end of the meal during dinners with friends :) I leave you to the recipe and I wish you a sweet weekend: *
How to make strawberry liqueur
Wash the strawberries, remove the stalk and cut them into wedges.
Transfer them to an airtight glass jar and cover with alcohol.
Close the jar and let them macerate the strawberries in this way for 20 days, in the dark.
After these days, prepare a syrup; put the sugar and water in a thick-bottomed pan and put on the stove.
Turn from time to time and once it has boiled, wait 10 minutes before removing the pot from the heat.
While the syrup cools, strain the alcohol.
Then transfer it to the well-cooled syrup and stir.
With a funnel, bottle the liqueur and let it rest for at least a couple of days before using it.
Your strawberry syrup is ready to be enjoyed.
